About Serenity Health Co.

Serenity Health Co. was founded with you and your health in mind. I wanted to create a welcoming health space where women and their families could go to have their health concerns be heard and sensitively addressed in a safe, non-judgmental, unhurried, and compassionate setting. A place where time allows for a foundational and trustworthy relationship to be established between you and your healthcare provider to enable you to work together as a team toward accomplishing your health-related goals and getting to the root cause of your symptoms. Somewhere that provides you with a sense of validation that your symptoms and experiences are real and that there is hope for a solution on the horizon. A space where your best interest will always be a top priority and advocated for and you can feel confident that you are being cared for in the truest sense of its meaning.

My hope is that you will find all of these attributes each time you step into my office and will leave each appointment with trust and assurance that you will never experience anything less. I am here for you, to work for you, and to work with you.

Welcome to Serenity Health Co. - I’m so glad you’re here.

MEET YOUR NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR

(I promise I don’t resemble a fern -photo coming soon…)

As a proud northern girl who was born and raised in “the Soo,” as we so affectionately refer to it, I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to return to my beloved hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, ON to provide naturopathic healthcare services to my fellow community members.

I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who is dedicated to and passionate about providing patient-centered, compassionate, and individualized healthcare to my patients. Through consideration of every aspect of an individual’s life and health, I strive to provide individuals with the necessary education, tools, and confidence to empower them to make informed decisions about and actively participate in their own health and wellbeing.

My practice is a family health-centered practice, however, I have particular clinical interests in women’s and hormonal health (including PMS, PCOS, menopause + perimenopause support, thyroid health), natural fertility support, perinatal health & pregnancy support, lactation education + support, autoimmune conditions, and digestive health.

I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. Prior to earning my ND degree, I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, with a double major in Life Sciences + Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. Following my undergraduate studies, I earned a Master of Science degree in Cellular + Molecular Medicine from the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario. Throughout my time spent in Ottawa pursuing my M.Sc., I had the incredible honour of completing my thesis research under Dr. Robert Korneluk at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute.

I am passionate about continuing education and am always striving to grow my skillset and knowledge base in order to best serve my community and improve patient outcomes. I have received additional training as a naturopathic doula, certification in cosmetic acupuncture, and am currently pursuing a lactation education program with hopes of being able to empathetically guide and support parents throughout their breast/chestfeeding journeys while working toward my IBCLC designation. I know from my own trials and tribulations how challenging and delicate this experience can be, and my goal will always be to provide an unwavering support system to both new and experienced parents alike.

With a lifelong and deeply rooted passion for both the sciences and medicine, I feel that it is a true honour to be able to provide naturally-focused, evidence-based healthcare to all of those who may be in need. I am immensely proud to be able to serve my beautiful hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, ON where I was richly nurtured to grow and thrive throughout my childhood and adolescence and have now returned to raise my own little family.

Outside of clinical practice, I live to spend time with my husband, our sweet daughter, and our 2 beloved pups (along with the rest of our very much loved family members + friends!). When time allows, a few additional passions of mine include photography, getting my hands and feet dirty in the garden, diving into a great book, experimenting in the kitchen, and days spent at the lake (bonus points if Lake Superior) - nothing beats a good day spent at the lake.

I am looking so forward to working alongside you and becoming a collaborative member of your healthcare team to address all of your health concerns and help you feel like your best self.
